And Not a Single Hit Was Played
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to see two artists I really admire, Brat and Neko Case, at The Greek, which is awesome. The sound was excellent, and both brought it in terms of performance. My lone gripe was with Brat, the headliner. I've been a fan of Neko Case for 10 years. I've seen her live several times before, but this was the first time for my wife...also a big fan.
Brat and the band opted not to play any classic from his catalogue, which was unfortunate. In this quest to exclusively play B-sides, he also didn't perform any song from either Supernova or GWaTCDR, which was weird. If you have a favorite Brat song, chances are he did not play it. He did not play any song in the top 5 on his Spotify artist page.
Performance-wise, he still brought it. It was a fun show. If you're on the fence about seeing him in your town, keep in mind he might not play any of the songs that made you a fan in the first place.
